Lithographs

Lithography is a planographic printmaking process in which a design is drawn onto a flat stone and affixed by means of a chemical reaction.

Invented in 1796, by the German author and actor Alois Senefelder, was initially used mostly for musical scores and maps.

Intaglio

"intaglio" describes prints created from plates where the ink-bearing regions are recessed beneath the plate's surface.

Lines are printed into the metal through etching or engraving.
